Junior Cybersecurity Advisor

As a Junior Cybersecurity Advisor at ACEN, you will support organizations in strengthening their cybersecurity posture in a pragmatic and business-oriented way. You will work alongside experienced consultants at the intersection of business, IT, and security, helping clients translate cybersecurity frameworks into actionable improvements.

The advisory team operates with a strong innovation- and data-driven mindset, meaning you will be encouraged to stay close to emerging technologies and contribute at the front line of cybersecurity innovation. An affinity with AI and its application within cybersecurity is considered a strong plus.

Tasks

• Strategic Guidance: Provide guidance to clients and internal strategic advisors.
• Security Controls: Assist in selecting appropriate security controls for different types of organizations.
• Framework Adoption: Support organizations in adopting cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CCB CyberFundamentals, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls v8.
• Assessments: Conduct information security maturity assessments with guidance of senior consultants.
• Implementation: Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Roadmaps: Contribute to internal advisory roadmaps and strategic priorities.
• Awareness: Help create and coordinate security awareness initiatives.

• Strong willingness to learn and build a solid foundation in cybersecurity and IT.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to understand risks without getting lost in technical detail.
• Comfortable switching between technical context and business perspective.
• Creative, curious, and open to innovative approaches.
• Strong communication skills toward both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Affinity with AI and data-driven technologies is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Willing to travel occasionally for client engagements.
