Matthias is Country Director at Fastned for Belgium. Fastned is active in 10 countries across Europe and is one of the leading players providing ultra fast charging infrastructure. Within his role
he is responsible for the rollout of charging stations, sustainable revenue growth in the Belgian market and the 5 year strategic ambitions in the market. Currently Fastned has more than 400 employees in Europe from which 35 in Belgium

Before joining Fastned Matthias was active in the last-mile delivery industry as Country Manager Belgium for Swedish start-up Instabee expanding into the country and leading all commercial and operational activities. He started off his career in strategy consulting working for both Roland Berger and Sia Partners  focusing on growth strategy and restructuring projects across different sectors such as Energy & Utilities, Manufacturing & automotive.

He is also co-founder of Drizzle, a Belgian food start-up which has the mission to turn ordinary meals into something extra ordinary through a wide range of tasty and new toppings. These include a range of crunchy chili oils, inspired by Asian flavours but adapted for the European market and the first Belgian hot honey made from fermented chili's. Drizzle is found in 2024 together with Laurens Muylle and Roel Engelen and has the ambition to become the references for food toppings in Belgium.

Matthias is 35 and living in Antwerp together with his partner and daughter of 3 years old.
